hi peeps, i have an audi a3 1.8t,only bought it just before christmas andthe engine light came on so i had it checked for codes and it was the maf sensor. i replaced the sensor,(non genuine bosh one) and the light went off on its own, sound! since ive changed the sensor tho the car stalls now and then and i have another code coming up 17705 pressure drop between turbo and throttle vaulve! now ive checked all hoses and carnt see any leaks anywhere. do you think it could be the sensor??

cheers

the bosch replacements are usually ok, some ppl hav had trubl wit em from time to time but not that often but it could be tho

there's a few things that'l bring that code up, if your happy its not loosin boost thru a split or loose pipe an the t.b. is clean there's a few other possibilities

dumpvavle is the main one, the oe ones are crappy

tb could need resetting

N249 valve (it controls the dumpvalve) but it can be bypassed

check all the vacuum pipes that are under the inlet manifold around the boost control valves

could also be the map sensor but unlikely
