Well seeing as it was nice weather today.. I thought... F*ck it!

Jumped in the car.. took it through the cheapo carwash (yes it's soft brush.. and yes I know it still scratches.. but I don't have a hose.. so THERE!)

Drove to Halfraud to get some metal polish and some wax applicators.

Then.. off home.. did the inside of everything that opens! Neutral

OMG.. at the damned boot! I opened that up and there must've been a small gardens worth of cr*p around the edge and along the bottom of the window... after about 1hr on just that area.. using the very hand wheel brush too, actually.. I got about 98% of it off... then I moved on to the right hand wheels.. got both of them clean.. changed the water.. and did the insides of the doors, that's not the door cards, I mean the door sills, the door surrounds on both the door and the erm.. body? and after doing all 4 of those.. I did the left hand wheels... phew. Then I had to stop to go pickup me son, get some food... aaaaaaand I'll continue detailing tomorrow.

It's funny how both times my bucket came out FILTHY! and yet there was this gas service guy who'd gone to one of the other flats.. stood by his car having a ciggy... he just stood there looking at me slaving away for about 5 mins... then says "I've never seen a car so clean." So I stopped for a second... took a breath and all I could come up with was "well.... dirt has some interesting hiding places."

I mean.. it's amazing how dirty a car really is if you actually look. A car wash does BUGGAR ALL! lol.

So 4hrs done today... more or less... tomorrow probably another 4hrs on JUST the outside... need to metal polish the chrome, make sure the car is spotless... then wax the whole thing.. I need to buy some back to black too, for the bottom of the bumpers... hmpf... might see if I have time to get some of the engine bay done too.

I mean.. if the suns out again... I'll be right out there!

Oh but.. I have to get her new tyres on there first :p Ooh yeah.. nothing like NEW RUBBER!

Sad Drakish grey clouds outside now... and I'm still about 1 - 2hrs away from finishing this damned assignment.. sigh.

Guess I just have to hope for nice weather tomoz... and hope the car doesn't get too covered in muck... but because of the goop they put on the rims to get the new tyres on.. I was actually contemplating taking her through the ARC again, rofl.. to then just polish her :p

Getting obsessive now! >.<
