yeah good call, and i've just been up to "willow signs" in ewloe and had a chat with them......they was very helpfull and supplied me with some black vinyl types stuff with a 9yr sticky warranty. the cost was £10+vat p.m. so got 2 metre of it for less than £25 and a load of knowledge too study so gonna have a bash over the weekend and see what mess i can make of it, lol!!

.........pics to follow (thats if it suits it or not Sad ) amd any tips apart from the usual ones??

ive jst wrapped my interior wooden panelin around the heater controls, stereo and drinks holder in my mk4 golf with black an white checkered vinyl, then still had tons left so have done by battery cover an engine cover, if its the same kinda stuff its a piece a piss m8, i used the missus's hairdryer to do mine, bit of heat an u can do anythin with it, bit of heat u can stretch it, if its stretched to much bit more heat will shrink it again, amazin stuff!! shouldnt b that hard to do the roof m8!! how do reckon i should approach it, start in the middle n work down the car n then the side or do the midle then sides then front/back!! i can see me having 4 creases where the pillars meet the roof as the roof curves back/front and sise to side....a perfect pain in the arse!! with it being on full view all the time its gonna have to be damn near perfect!!

i should of got the check stuff, but i'll give this ago now init!!

Any links for getting some of this vinyl peeps? Sounds pretty cool! I was put off initially by how easy it was at bubbling etc. Is it pretty tactile / managable?

i payed £20+vat for 2m of 1220mm wide of shiny black!! (£10 per metre) u can get it cheaper its just the first place i tried as it was close to me! but less than £25 to do a wrapped roof......its the bargain of the century!

just hope my skill are as bright as my ideas, lol!

if ur roofs similar to mine - quite flat with a bit of a curve front an back, with the seal of the door quite high, and meetin the windscreen an rear window should be a piece of piss m8, should be lot easier with 1 colour, had to work mine out so it looks even both sides and worked the squares out at the front so they dnt look silly, ive done my engine cover, battery cover an round my stereo an heater controls etc, u wouldnt believe how easy it is 2 work with m8!! Laughing
